Martovski festival tradicionalno donosi raznovrstan filmski program u nekoliko nacionalnih takmičarskih kategorija: dokumentarni film do 50 i preko 50 minuta, eksperimentalni film i video art, animirani film i kratki igrani film.

From the co-director of “Honeyland“ comes a visually powerful story set in the heart of rural
Macedonia. Nikola, a farmer struggling with the harsh reality of new government policies, finds
himself unable to sell his produce or even his land. When his family moves abroad in search of a
better life, Nikola takes a job at a waste disposal site, where he encounters an injured white stork
named Silijan. As he nurses the bird back to health, an extraordinary bond forms between man and
animal. The result is a deeply moving film that addresses climate change, economic migration,
resilience, and the quiet power of connection. The story of Silijan is a poetic ode to human
endurance and our connection to nature.

neizrečenim žrtvama, preživljavanju i tišini unutar porodica. Uz gotovo dokumentaristički realizam i
Bez
sentimentalnosti, koristeći snažne vizuelne slike i minimalan dijalog, film istražuje granice ljubavi,
teret dužnosti i mesto starih ljudi u savremenom životu.
In a society that increasingly overlooks the value of the weak and the elderly, this film delivers a
quiet yet powerful story about unspoken sacrifices, survival, and the silence within families. With an
almost documentary-like realism and a subtle directorial approach, the film follows an old man
returning from a retirement home to his son’s overcrowded and impoverished household—not as a
guest of honor, but as a fragile link between past and future. Without sentimentality, using strong
imagery and minimal dialogue, it explores the boundaries of love, the burden of duty, and the place
of the elderly in contemporary life.

snagom. Film prati Slavkinu igračku karijeru, kao i njene kasnije trenerske poduhvate,
predsedavanje muškim fudbalskim klubom i neprekidan rad u sportu. O borbi za pravo na životni
poziv, moći entuzijazma, istrajnosti, umetnosti prihvatanja pobeda i poraza – fudbal kao život.
Women’s football!!! Even today, this phrase may sound unnatural and wordy to some.
Women’s football in Serbia through the life and sports career of Slavka Kanjevac Pašti, a football
player who was proclaimed the goal-scorer of Europe at the European tournament in the French
city of Menton in 1976, where she played for Zemun’s Sloga. The press at the time referred to
Slavka as “a goal machine.” Archival footage of a twenty-two-year-old girl in dialogue with sixtyeight-year-old Slavka in the present time, active in sports life, and still equipped with sportsmanship
and life force. The film follows Slavka’s playing career as well as her later coaching endeavors,
chairmanship of a men’s football club and continuous work in sports. About the fight for the right to
a life’s calling, the power of enthusiasm, perseverance, the art of receiving victories and defeats –
football as life.

Višnju (18) muče mladalački, a zapravo evergreen ljubavni problemi.
Višnja (18) is troubled by youthful and actually evergreen love problems. A lonely vacation in a
romantic village on the Dalmatian island of Brač (Croatia) does not help her overcome her grief.
However, getting to know the mature, unconventional local Mara (40) is more effective. Auntie is
not a story about the end of failed love, but about the beginning of a warm friendship.

Kroz
eksperimentalni vizuelni i narativno-dokumentarni pristup, film istražuje osetljivu granicu između
nevinosti i opasnosti, preplićući stvarnost i svet sećanja.
Twenty years after World War II, a young boy discovers an abandoned grenade. Driven by curiosity,
his innocent play turns into a moment of danger that threatens his life. Through an experimental
visual and narrative-documentary approach, the film explores the delicate balance between
innocence and danger, intertwining reality and the world of memory.

neuspeh izaziva iritaciju Vrhovne Smrti.
The film follows Death, depicted in its globally familiar form, with a scythe and a black cloak, who
daily, on orders from the Supreme Death, takes the lives of people in Serbia. Death operates
according to a list carried by her assistant, Živojin. One night, however, just before midnight, while
visiting the apartment of her last „client“ for the day, Death is thrown off by an unexpected and
unprecedented event. This distraction lasts just long enough for the clock to strike midnight,
meaning she can no longer kill him in the standard manner—by placing a rose under his nose.
At a meeting of all the Deaths of the world, where Deaths from various countries report their
activities to the Supreme Death, her failure provokes the Supreme Death’s irritation. The Supreme
Death orders our heroine, the Serbian Death, to kill the surviving mortal within three days using
earthly methods. She gives her a potion to traverse „this world and the other,“ and Death, taking
the form of a stunning young woman in her prime, embarks on the mission.
However, she is unaware that along the way, she will encounter a new and incomprehensible
feeling awakened by the personality of her „victim.“ This feeling induces a dilemma that becomes
increasingly unsolvable as the story progresses, ultimately placing her in a seemingly inescapable
and utterly unfamiliar situation for a Death.

zdravlju, često dovodeći do bolesti pluća.
A captivating documentary that delves into the lives of Roma trumpeters in the south of Serbia,
showcasing their incredible talent and passion for music. However, it also unveils the harsh reality
they face as musicians and Romi. Passed down through generations, the art of trumpet playing is a
double-edged sword, as improper techniques and excessive air use take a toll on their health, often
leading to lung diseases. What appears as pure joy and happiness to the audience is simultaneously
their sole source of income and, at times, a source of pain.
At the heart of the film is Maksut Maksutović Maksa, the renowned teacher of Roma trumpeters,
who crafted authentic jazz arrangements and provided livelihoods for many musicians. When US
professor Nada Miljković, a friend of Maksa, stumbles upon and meets his student and successor
Milan donja Nikolić, she embarks on a mission to share their story. Their goal is to establish a school
where gifted children can learn to play properly and kickstart their musical careers more easily.

ranjiv, veoma obrazovan i vanserisjki talentovan glumac.
isto vrati.
The documentary “All About the King Named Petar” is an emotional and intimate biography of
an acting phenomenon and unique personality that was Petar Kralj. In a subtle, heartfelt, and
humorous way, the film reveals the character of a man whose life and artistic legacy made him
truly worthy of the surname “Kralj” (which means “King” in Serbian). Through testimonies of
his contemporaries, the essence of his acting brilliance and distinctive personality is
uncovered—qualities that made him beloved by the public. The film portrays the life of an artist
who was, in many ways, an enigma: quiet, deeply shy at heart, romantic, childishly sensitive, highly
educated, and extraordinarily talented. What set him apart from many other actors was his
incredible humanity and his constant desire to do good for others, without expecting anything in
return.

In the already fraught Serbian history, the 7th of July is one of the most controversial dates.
Designated as the Day of the Uprising of the People of Serbia, it is viewed by some as the day when
national hero Žikica Jovanović Španac fired the first Serbian shot in the Second World War, and by
others as the day he killed two innocent gendarmes. Through seven thematically distinct segments,
this film seeks to examine this date from the perspectives of history, art history, the law, and
cultural memory, as well as tell the personal story of the widow of one of the killed gendarmes.

zidu koristi u različitim gradovima Zapadnog Balkana.
Painting on walls has been a human practice for thousands of years. It has been there
archetypically, anthropologically, always… Graffiti has only advanced the form of that prehistoric
human need to share an opinion, experience, feeling, dilemma or an attitude with the whole world.
But this is not a film about graffiti culture. This is a film about the use of graffiti and street art to
animate the one who sees them. A comparative analysis of the way in which the communicational
channel of writings on the wall is used in different cities of the Western Balkans.
Although the sample is small, it illustrates how the spray paint and the brush, like any other tool,
depending on whose hands they are in, can be used to bring something beautiful and represent
freedom, or to deceive and offend others.

plastičnošću pokretnih slika, odvodeći hodnike nebodera u nove čulne, opskurne i perceptivne
sfere.
“XYZ“ takes hold of an empty office building as an emblem for the modern self-imprisonment of
humankind, only to shatter its implied narrative to shreds. What’s left is a skeleton, a timeless
space, a ghost of what once was, now filled with eternal possibilities. Drawing on structural
filmmaking techniques, the film intertwines scientific studies of physiology and psychology with the
raw plasticity of moving images, taking the corridors of the skyscraper to new sensible, obscure and
perceptual realms.

More udara o stene stare hiljadama godina dok pastir izvodi svoje stado ovaca na pašnjak. Crveni
brdoviti pejzaž u blizini oborenog stabla, a iznad njega roda kruži u letu.
konceptom. Film prikazuje različite predele poput mora, šuma i livada, i bavi se transformacijom
zemlje i prirode usled ljudske intervencije.
The sea crashes on millennia-old layers of rock while a shepherd fetches his herd of sheep from the
willow. A red hilly landscape near a fallen tree, on top of it a stork is flying in circles. The artistic
inspiration for the film was developed from the vision of traveling through the nature of Portugal
with an experimental film concept. The film shows a variety of landscapes such as the sea, forests,
meadows and deals with the transformation of land and nature through human intervention.

The film opens with the story of the author of a book about Rosh—the only non-monk ever buried
at the Hilandar Monastery—and the discoveries he made following its publication. Among the
interviewees is director Nedeljko Kovacic, who researched Đorđe Rosh’s life while preparing for the
film and TV series „Vera“. Other commentators include art historian Nikola Kusovac, who speaks
about his personal acquaintance with Rosh, Rosh’s art collection, and his diplomatic career.
Radivoje Bojović discusses Đorđe Rosh’s personal belongings, which are housed in the Čačak
Museum, where the collection was entrusted by Rosh’s daughters. The film also explores the
profound connection between Major Gavrilović and Rosh, as it was Roš who transcribed and
preserved Gavrilović’s legendary 1915 speech to the defenders of Belgrade
